Ferries

We often go overnight with a cabin from Portsmouth to Le Havre, Caen or St. Malo . You will arrive early in the morning and then be able to drive South in one day.

Air Travel

The main airports for our region are Bordeaux,Toulouse, Bergerac and Limoges.  We recommend that you choose based on fare and convenience at the UK end.  Pre-booked car hire is available at all these airports.  There is a new airport at Brive, with flights from London City Airport

There is a  small International Airport at  Agen , but it is not currently running flights to or from the UK , but only Paris-Orly.

 Eurostar / TGV

If taking the train from London to Agen, if you go via Lille, you only have to cross a platform with your luggage!

The TGV train runs from Lille and Paris to Bordeaux and Agen.

Paris to Agen is approx. 4 hours. Paris to Cahors by normal express train is 5-6 hours

Agen is about 50 minutes from  Chateaux Trichot and Cardou, or change trains at Agen and take the small train to our local railway station, (about 6 miles) at Monsempron-Libos.  For Lamostonie the main station is Cahors, though Gourdon is the closest.  

If you want a day in Paris then you can arrive at Paris Nord/North, on the Eurostar and then cross Paris to Paris Montparnasse, on the South side of the city, to continue your journey on the TGV, the high speed express train.
